Camping in the City - Canlis
We sought a little solitude in a unique fashion at Canlis — the parking lot transformed into a charming campsite complete with flora and fauna.
After our hike around the yurt village, we had some snacks to tide us over: Tartare sandwich, ikura and chips, savory donuts, and crab maki served in stainless steel tiffins delivered via rucksack.
Each camper got a three course meal, one option per course. Since there were four of us, there's variety in each course.
- Starter: Amberjack, Foie Gras, Raviolo
- Second Course: Ribeye, Lamb Leg, and Salmon
- Dessert: Avocado Coconut and Sheep Cheese
- Drinks: Cane Pole Whistle, Saddle Up, Firefly Cooler, and Bramble
With travel plans on hold, Canlis provided a little getaway in the middle of the city. The Yurt Village gave us the taste and feeling of being in the great outdoors despite being feet away from the 99.
